Abigail Spencer

Abigail Leigh Spencer (born August 4th, 1981) is an American actress. Most well-known is her performances in the movies Cowboys & Aliens The Haunting in Connecticut 2 Ghosts of Georgia Oz the Great & Powerful The Great and Powerful Is Where I Leave You and the television series Angela's Eyes Mad Men Hawthorne & Suits. The actress is currently playing Amantha in Rectify the Sundance Channel show that is a drama. Abigail Leigh Spencer works as an actor in film and television. She gained fame for her role in Rectify (a drama) and Timeless (a science fiction). A native of Gulf Breeze, she began her career with soap opera All My Children. Her role in the soap show All My Children earned the actress an award by the soap Opera Digest for Best Female newcomer. The majority of her roles were guest characters in various TV series over the next couple of years. Her role as Dr. Erin Jameson on the show Hawthorne received her praise. Her dazzling looks, combined with her amazing acting skills led to a gradual growth of an audience. Her first film appearance came at 20 years old, playing a role in the movie Campfire Stones. In addition, she has appeared in Jekyll This Means War, Chasing Mavericks and various other movies. For her role in Beautiful Now she received a Madrid International Film Festival Award nomination. Most recently, Spencer played Lucy Preston (history professor) in Timeless. The series has been praised by critics and Spencer's role has earned her a nomination for The Teen Choice Award.
